Rana Aftab replaces Mian Aslam Iqbal as PTI's nominee for chief minister
LAHORE (Dunya News) - The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Saturday suddenly changed its candidate for the position of Punjab chief minister.
Rana Aftab Ahmad Khan has now been made the chief minister candidate in stead of Mian Aslam Iqbal by the SIC [which includes PTI-backed MPAs].

In the current political situation, the party leadership in consultation with Mian Aslam Iqbal has designated Rana Aftab Ahmad Khan for the position of Punjab CM.
Rana Aftab Ahmad is a five-time elected and the senior most MPA and has the support of PTI candidates in the SIC.
